Tesla Inc is an American multinational automotive and clean energy company. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, it designs, manufactures and sells battery electric vehicles. Tesla was founded in July 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning as Tesla Motors. Its name is a tribute to inventor and electrical engineer Nikola Tesla. In February 2004, Elon Musk joined as Tesla's largest shareholder. in 2008, he was named chief executive officer. Tesla Autopilot is an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) developed by Tesla that amounts to partial vehicle automation. Tesla provides "Base Autopilot" on all vehicles, which includes lane centering and traffic-aware cruise control. The company claims the features reduce accidents caused by driver negligence and fatigue from long-term driving. The names Autopilot and Full Self-Driving are controversial, because vehicles remain at Level 2 automation and are therefore not "fully self-driving" and require active driver supervision.

The Tesla Roadster is a battery electric sports car, based on the Lotus Elise chassis, produced by Tesla Motors from 2008 to 2012. The Roadster was the first highway legal, serial production. first production all-electric car to travel more than 244 miles (393 km) per charge. Tesla sold about 2,450 Roadsters in over 30 countries. Tesla produced right-hand-drive Roadsters from early 2010. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) in 3.7 or 3.9 seconds depending on the model. It has a top speed of 125 mph.
The Tesla Model S is a battery-electric, four-door full-size car that has been produced by the American automaker Tesla since 2012. The automaker's longest-produced model and second vehicle, critics have called the Model S one of the most significant and influential electric cars in the industry. Tesla started developing the Model S around 2007 under the codename "WhiteStar". The body and the chassis of the Model S are made mostly of aluminum. The Model S is a full-size sedan with four doors and five seats.
The Tesla Model X is a battery electric mid-size luxury crossover SUV built by Tesla, Inc. since 2015. Developed from the full-sized sedan platform of the Tesla Model S, the vehicle notably uses falcon wing doors for passenger access. in 2016, the Model X ranked seventh among the world's best-selling plug-in cars.[11] A refresh of the Tesla Model X was introduced in 2021, offering a new "Plaid" performance mode. As of September 2023, the Model X is available as a Long-Range version with an estimated EPA range of 348 miles.
The Tesla Model 3 is a battery electric powered mid-size sedan with a fastback body style built by Tesla, Inc., introduced in 2017. The vehicle is marketed as being more affordable to more people than previous models made by Tesla. They said it would have a five-star safety rating and have a drag coefficient of Cd=0.225. The interior of the Model 3 has been described as with few physical controls, instead housing most controls in a single 15.4 in center mounted touchscreen. the Model 3's primary motor uses internal permanent magnets with synchronous reluctance motor characteristics.
The Tesla Model Y is a battery electric mid-size crossover SUV produced by Tesla, Inc. The vehicle was presented in March 2019 as the company's fifth production model since its inception after the Roadster, Model S, Model X and Model 3. The Model Y is based on the Model 3 sedan, with around 76 percent of parts being shared between the two. The Model Y is Tesla's first vehicle to use a heat pump instead of electric resistance for interior cabin heating. Tesla planned to implement their new structural battery pack to improve range.
The Tesla Cybertruck is a battery electric pickup truck built by Tesla, Inc. since 2023. It has a controversial body design reminiscent of low-polygon modelling, consisting of flat stainless steel sheet panels. They released video of the Cybertruck winning a drag race with a Porsche 911 while also towing another Porsche 911. the Cybertruck was highlighted as being able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds. The Cybertruck uses active air suspension at both axles. The Cybertruck has self-leveling suspension that can compensate for variable load weights.
The Tesla Roadster is an upcoming battery electric four-seater sports car to be built by Tesla, Inc. The company said it will be capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds. The base model was initially listed on Tesla's website at $200,000. The second-generation Tesla Roadster is a 2+2 coupé with a removable glass roof. The Roadster has three electric motors: one in the front and two in the rear. The Roadster will have a 620 miles (1,000 km) range on a single charge at highway speeds.
The Tesla Cybercab, also known as the Robotaxi, is an upcoming two-passenger battery-electric self-driving car under development by Tesla. The vehicle will be fully autonomously controlled, and has no steering wheel or pedals. The Cybercab has it had two butterfly doors but no door handles as the doors opened automatically. The car had a hatchback opening for cargo, with no external charge port showing on the prototype vehicles. The car had no rear window and no side view mirrors.
